The V8 Vantage Roadster is very similar to its cousins in the V8 series in the sense that it is equipped with the specially tuned 4.7 liters V8 engine, which has a record performance of 313 KW (426PS/420BHP) for a high engine power capability at 7300 rpm. At 5000 rpm, it can hit a standard V8 maximum torque of 470 NM (346lb Ft). The acceleration rate is recorded at 4.7 seconds to attain 0-60mph acceleration speed and to attain 0-62 (0-100KM) acceleration speed takes 4.9 seconds all on fast drive modes while the maximum speed is recorded at 180mph or 290 km/h. The engine transmission set up is mid-mounted at its rear with the standard six-speed manual transmission gear system and an optional sportshift (5) automated manual transmission with six-speed options (for those who want to shift gear system for that race type driving experience). Alloy torque tube composes the carbon fiber of the engine propeller shaft. A limited differential slip is also included providing the 3.909:1 over final drive ratio.

For superior driving control and steering performance, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster is equipped with power steering that is rack and pinion-assisted. Together with 3.0 lock-to-lock column tilts and reach performance, the break and drive break support suspension system of this car is remarkable. The Aston Martin V8 Roadster carries the standard competition derived front break with a disc made of ventilated and grooved steel.

This results to massive stopping power that is the signature of the V8 break system, Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), a Dynamic Stability Control with track mode (DSC), Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), Positive Torque Control (PTC), Traction Control system (TCT) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) is also provided in the overall break and safety package as the standard of Aston Martins electronic break support system.

The suspension system on the other hand that works with synergy with the break and support system for added control and support (for that smooth driving experience) is a V8 standard independent double wishbones that incorporates anti-dive geometry, coil springs, anti-roll bar and monotube dampers for the front and almost the same configuration for the rear with the added anti-squat and ant-lift geometric.
