When talking about the ultimate gentlemen's sport car, one consistently mentions the Aston Martin. There is always endless discussion about how this car handles like a dream. At any rate, there is a new model for 2012, known as the Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Roadster that certainly lives up to all expectations. Unlike the previous model, this Aston Martin features a new seven-speed transmission, quicker and tighter steering response, larger brakes, new dampers and springs, a new stability assist module and other quirky modules. Together, these help the car grip the road tenaciously and corner aggressively while providing the necessary safety factors that Aston Martin is so well-known and respected for. Central to this new Aston MartinV8 Vantage S Roadster is the updated design of the car. Just about everything that determines the performance of the car was redesigned so that it exceeds what the V8 Vantage had. The new Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Roadster has wider tires, 19-inch V-spoke wheels, and a larger intake grille to feed its massive 4.7-liter V-8 engine. This new modified version delivers 430 horsepower and 490 pound-feet of torque, which is certainly enough acceleration and passing power for anyone!

The idea for the new Aston MartinV8 Vantage S Roadster was taken from Aston Martin Racing's Vantage GT4 race car. The company was inspired to create a street-legal version of the well-known race car by using many of its parts. The same chassis that is used on the GT4 race car is also used on the Aston MartinV8 Vantage S Roadster. There have been a lot of Aston Martin versions, but this is the first time that an Aston Martin was produced for this specific purpose. Ever since the GT4 race car started winning races, Aston wanted to have a road car based on its design and theV8 Vantage Roadster S is a meticulous result of that.

There is little detectable distinction between a regular V8 Vantage and the Vantage S Roadster unless you are at the race track. The S model will run a bit faster, shift quicker, corner a bit better and gives you a bigger smile, when you really open the throttle.

The V8 Vantage S Roadster offers a compliant ride, seductive exhaust sound, impeccable interior, excellent handling and comes with a much smaller price tag, compared to others in the Aston Martin Line.
