Part 2: Trims & Features

The 2012 Audi Q5 comes has four available packages, the 2.0T Premium, 2.0T Premium Plus, 3.2 Premium, and the 3.2 Premium Plus. Both include the standard Audi features like all-wheel drive, stability and traction control, and side and curtain airbags. The Premium Plus offers some additional features, Bluetooth, iPod integration, and xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights. The 3.2 models come with some extra features standard, as compared to the 2.0T models as well.

Among the options are a Bang & Olufsen sound system, ventilated front seats, ash wood or brushed aluminum inlays, and exhaust tips. Performance minded individuals can elect for the Audi drive select option, which allows drivers some control over the active suspension system; similarly, safety minded buyers can elect for adaptive cruise control, which detects the speed of cars ahead and applies the brakes if necessary.

Other options, such as keyless entry, iPod integration, navigation, S line trim and performance parts, and an entertainment system are optional extras, except on the 3.2 Premium Plus model. The potential for customization is somewhat limited with paint and interior trim color options. The Audi Q5, in all trim levels, comes in black, white, a few shades of gray, and brown, while the interior leather can be black, gray, or several variations of beige. There is no doubt that these colors will keep the Q5 looking classy in any combination, but buyers that want a more dramatic appearance should look elsewhere.
