The 2012 Audi TTS comes in two trim packages, Premium Plus and Prestige. The former offers S line exterior parts, xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights, three zone climate control, an auto dimming rear view mirror with compass, automatic air conditioning, fully adjustable front seats, an automatically adjusting spoiler, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The Prestige includes all of this, but adds a Bose premium sound system, heated front seats, and acoustic parking assistance. Optional extras include baseball stitching in the leather, navigation with real time traffic, and iPod integration.
The Audi TTS comes in a wide variety of exterior colors and the selection of interior ones is fitting for a sports car. The paint is available in the usual gray scale punctuated with reds, blues, and the very unique Solar Orange. The interior is available in black or premium brown leather, or buyers can opt for a two tone package with gray/black, orange/black, or red/black. Unfortunately, the canvas top comes in only black.
Safety features include the standard Audi suite of airbags, electronic stability control and "smart" brakes, but also boasts hill assist, and acoustic parking assistance. The Audi TTS roadster renders the same visceral driving experience as the Porsche Boxster and with its ubiquitous turbocharged engine is the fastest Audi to be conceived. Keep in mind that most Porsche buyers are lured into buying the vehicle for the badge, luxury, baseball style leather and if you can get past the fact that the TTS is not a Boxster, the options are endless. Audi's designers definitely worked a whole lot more to get the TTS roadster on the map with the Porsche Boxster, but in all fairness, even the most novice car enthusiast would admit that the Boxster is their supreme choice.
