As an expensive, luxury car, the BMW 6 series convertible has to satisfy the high expectations of consumers. Among its many features are: A minimal torque converter slip and the rapid gear change system, which are both part of the automatic transmission. They serve the purpose of optimizing the purposeful utility of the transmission to help with acceleration and derived torque. Another impressive feature that the new 6 series convertible boasts is Head-Up Display, which is featuring in this car for the first time. This system can relay information to the driver by means of the windscreen, such as traffic lights and traffic symbols. This system works by means of its 3D graphics system, which offers a wide range of colors to actively interact with the driver. The rest of the features in this 6 series are: a Lane Change and Lane Departure warning system, Speed Limit Info, Surround View system, BMW's Night Vision system and a rear-view camera. On the consumer side, Adaptive Headlights and a heated steering wheel are the main features, with other features such as a navigation system, and active seat ventilation.
The two main versions of this car are the 640i and the 650i. These cars aren't too dissimilar, but the 650i is obviously more powerful with its twin turbocharged 4.4 liter motor, which utilizes a 8 cylinder engine. This car is capable of 0-60 in less than 5 seconds, but suffers on the fuel efficiency side of things with only 23mpg on the highway. The 640i, on the other hand, is more efficient and weighs less, and is also cheaper than its big brother. Both of these trims can also be outfitted to an xDrive variant, which adds all-wheel drive into the equation for added power and better handling. Overall, this car is one hard car to beat in terms of safety, performance and build. BMW has built quite a marvelous car and it should have no trouble being able to outclass the rest of the cars in the market.
