The 2011 Chevrolet HHR Wagon is considered to be the resurrection of a 1940's style vehicle, most recently seen on the PT cruiser, which is why it is so disappointing that this is the last model year for it. Although some consumers consider the retro style to be unappealing, the roomy and spacious interior easily makes up for this boxy and somewhat thoughtless design. Despite all of the styling features displayed on the exterior of the Chevrolet HHR Wagon, the price is still very affordable for many consumers. When you can get your hands on a vehicle that offers this much cargo and passenger room while also returning gas mileage, starting at $18,720, it's hard not to get excited. The HHR is excellent for transporting cargo; the rear seats as well as the front passenger seat are able to recline completely, offering even more space for whatever it is you need to haul. However, the HHR isn't just a transportation vehicle, the smooth ride and aesthetics make for an enjoyable time behind the wheel.

A 2.2-liter inline-4 engine comes standard, providing 155 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. This thoughtful engine returns 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, which is certainly appealing to anyone. Those that opt for the LT trim have the option of upgrading to the 2.4-liter inline-4 engine that provides 172 horsepower and 167 pound-feet of torque. This barely affects gas mileage at all.

The Chevrolet HHR Wagon has been applauded by many industry experts due to its driving characteristics. Even though it is a larger wagon, the vehicle still drives like a smaller car, with an impressive wheel base. The large cargo space can deceive potential consumers who may think that the car will perform like a larger truck, however this is not the case. It drives extremely smoothly, handles very well, and has an incredibly quiet cabin. The HHR wagon is an excellent choice when compared to other similar wagons within its price range.

Even though the HHR is a retro styled car, it has many modern features that make it a formidable competitor to other brands. The interior sounds system accepts the input of auxiliary connections, allowing owners to use their MP3 players and iPod with the stock stereo. The Chevrolet HHR Wagon offers an impressive amount of comfort combined with extraordinary fuel economy that can rival many small sedans, even though it's a larger wagon platform..
