Infiniti Coupe Reviews

Infiniti are part of the Nissan Group of Japan, established in the late Eighties, to promote the company's entry into the luxury car sector. Infiniti first began producing cars for the North American market. After a stuttering start, interest in Infinitis grew and gradually the company began to market the cars across Western Europe, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and the Far East, Currently it is possible to purchase an Infiniti Coupe in 15 countries, through a network of more than 200 dealers.

Strange as it may seem, Nissan never attempted to market their luxury sedans, SUVs, convertibles and coupes in their native Japan, preferring to sell under their main brand label.

The Infiniti Coupes for 2012 are very distinctively designed, with protruding wheel arches and a front facing that positively glares out to other cars as they zoom effortlessly past them. The last view that most drivers will have of an Infiniti Coupe as it roars off into the distance will be its highly overstated, close to five inch diameter chrome tailpipe barrels.

as you would imagine, the Infiniti G37 coupe provides very little in the way of rear seat leg room and head room, and baggage space is far from being its strongest point. However, most people who have bought an Infiniti Coupe or are liable to buy one in the future, are not likely to be placing a great priority on its cargo or passenger carrying capacities.

Infiniti now offer their followers a choice of two Coupe engines, the 2.5 liter six cylinder engined G25 generating a mere 218 horsepower and the G37 which is powered by a 3.7 liter six cylinder engine generating up to 348 horsepower. The G37 has been around considerably longer. However, with fuel costs on the rise, Infiniti followed their instincts as well as feedback from trade reviews by introducing a less powerful and fuel hungry version of their coupe for 2012.

Irrespective of its engine size, both the Infiniti G model coupes come with rear wheel drive as standard, with all wheel drive being an option. The Infiniti G35 Coupe comes with the choice of either a seven speed automatic transmission or a six speed manual. Those who opt for the G25 version will need to make do with the seven speed automatic transmission.

The Infiniti G model coupes justify their role (and their price tag) as being very much in the top bracket in terms of handling and safety. The G Coupe's dramatic handling performance is down to its largely aluminum four- wheel independent suspension with the front being double wishbone design, while the rear is multi link.

The Coupe, even with a 2.5 liter engine under the hood, packs a load of power, and when it comes to braking, even at high speed, the car will hold very firm.

Safety features for the Infiniti Coupe G Series takes in two stage front airbags, side-impact airbags as well as rear side curtain airbags.

In the knowledge that finest technical driving and safety details have been taken care of , the Infiniti G Coupe series driver can sit back and enjoy all the luxury features that you would expect to find in a car in this category , with every treat that a luxury car owner could wish for and that climb gradually up the ladder of trim perfection according to the model range.

Suffice it to say, leather and aluminum trim, power operated front seats, climate control, power operated windows, mirrors and locks, tilting and telescoping steering wheel and alloy wheels and all season tyres are just some of the extras you will find on even the most basic trim finishes of the G Coupes, with many more optional extras there for the taking.

Infiniti G coupes are up there with the leaders in their class comparing well against the best that Lexus, Acura, BMW, Mercedes, Saab and Audi can come up with.
