While a hybrid vehicle certainly appeals to those that are environmentally friendly, the fact is that anyone looking to save money is interested in this new variant of automobile. The Fisker Karma Hybrid Electric Sedan is a new model, and company, that is promising the cost savings that people are after. It does so through the use of both a plug-in electric motor and a gasoline powered engine. The two used in combination could easily let the driver get double to triple the gas mileage. It comes at a cost, however, as the vehicle is much pricier than more well known hybrid vehicles on the market.

Without the reputation of a long-standing name on its side, the Fisker Karma Hybrid Electric Sedan had to use something else to gain attention. Fortunately, it has style on its side in this matter. While most hybrid vehicles have a more advanced appearance and technology, the Karma truly stands out in the crowd. The innovative look of this car is enough to turn heads easily. It would have to be as the price tag keeps out of the range of most who want to incorporate a hybrid vehicle and the lack of reputation makes those who can afford it slightly leery.

The Fisker Karma Hybrid Electric Sedan is on a mission to prove that the goal of a hybrid is to more than economical. It boasts the environmentally friendly aspect in a variety of different ways. From the recycled materials that line the cabin to the stiff requirements on the leather used, this vehicle is destined to be as eco-friendly as possible in all ways. The interior, however, just doesn't seem to feel worth the price that is paid for the car. In fact, those who want a hybrid in this price range can easily find one that offers more luxury on the inside.

Driving the Fisker Karma Hybrid Electric Sedan is an experience in itself. Though the car has the right amount of handling and speed, it isn't the most exciting adventure. There can be a significant amount of noise from outside at high speeds and there are other quirks in the cabin that can leave one feeling disappointed in the excursion. That said, it does offer an athletic drive that appeals to many and the speed and handling are instantly impressive.

Because the Fisker Karma Hybrid Electric Sedan is a plug-in hybrid what is under the hood is not all that there is. This vehicle actually has dual electric motors of 150kw that can work alone or in conjunction with a 2.0 liter 260 hp four cylinder gasoline powered engine. The electric side of the power can run for an approximate 32 miles before the engine will take over. It is possible for some to run the car solely in electric mode given the distance that must be traveled. However, together the motors work at 403 horsepower and give the vehicle even more power than anticipated.
