Part 1: Introduction

Hyundai is one of the few companies that have been able to stay profitable in the world financial crisis, which now seems like some kind of clich?. What is going for Hyundai is delivering fully loaded vehicles with a low price tag, and one of the best examples is the Hyundai Vera Cruz SUV Crossover. It is a fully-featured luxury mid-sized SUV crossover available at the price of a run-of -the mill mid-range vehicle that has been overly marketed. The Hyundai Vera Cruz SUV Crossover looks and feels the part of a mid-size entry level luxury SUV crossover.

The power unit is a 3.8 liter 260 horsepower engine, which can handle just about anything that is thrown at it. The cabin is spacious and well appointed; the noise levels are kept to highly respectable tones, and it is one of the most benevolent environments in the market. Unfortunately the interior is exponentially more appealing than the exterior, which is definitely rather bland. The cabin has pleasant little touches like wood trimings and an optional two tone internal paint scheme. The 2012 Hyundai Vera Cruz SUV Crossover comes with Hyundai's astounding warranty, and prodigious list of standard features, which puts the Hyundai Vera Cruz SUV Crossover in a class by itself.

In the past many have complained about the harsh ride offered by Hyundai vehicles and this fact is true to some extent, but the Vera Cruz definitely turns the tables around. The engineers have fixed this by re-tuning the steering, which in the past has had an effect of donating a lot of body roll to the handling. The Hyundai Vera Cruz SUV Crossover however is stable, and the brakes exude and excellent feel, making it apparent that the vehicle has been tweaked for the better.
