The G convertible has a power folding-mirror function. This new function eliminates the need to lift the side mirrors up against the vehicle manually. The G Convertible is slightly wider than the other G models, which accommodates the mechanism for the power roof and storage space behind the rear seats. To help reduce vibrations from the top being down, the windshield pillars were reinforced.

Another new feature is the computer scans repeatedly through all the systems for any errors when the G Convertible top is down. If the Infiniti G scans and detects a rollover, two roll bars automatically pop up behind the rear seats to help protect the passengers. The G Convertible has a new five-spoke design for the standard 17-inch wheels. The larger 19-inch wheels that are optional bring to balance out the car's sporty but luxurious looks.

The Infiniti G Convertible resembles a G37 coupe when the top is down. The roof is well-insulated enough at keeping noises entering or leaving the vehicle. The top takes approximately 30 seconds to open or close, which begins with a touch button on the center console. The Sports package gives the Infiniti G Convertible a uniquely more aggressive looking grille and front end.

There is also a Technology package that runs about an extra $1,150 which includes advanced dual-climate controls, rain-sensing wipers, and a more intelligent cruise control system. This new system has the ability to detect slowing moving vehicles ahead, slow down or break to avoid a collision. This features also resumes he desired speed and continues on its path without the driver ever touching the brake pedal.

The Navigation package adds an extra $1,850 to the price but is easy and simple to use. The large navigation screen is sensitive to the touch and can post weather and traffic alerts while driving. Add in Voice recognition software, Bluetooth, a rear-view camera and an internal hard drive for music storage, this luxurious ride becomes even more appealing to the consumer. DVDs can also be played on this large screen. An iPod can also be hooked up to the sound system with the available iPod USB port installed in the center console. To add more to the list, a power outlet is also installed in the console.
