The Jaguar XJL Portfolio is among the choices available in the XJ sedan line. The L in the XJL denotes the longer length of the vehicle and the Portfolio shows that this base version includes the Portfolio package as a standard feature. It also has many of the features available in a traditional XJ sedan. Like all Jaguar XJ models, this one comes fully decked out and still has a few options that can be had.
Standard fare on the Jaguar XJL Portfolio begins outside the vehicle. It starts with 9 inche wheels and a suspension that is adjustable and self-leveling. There are drive settings that are adjustable, sensors on the front and back for parking and a rear camera as well. Of course the features outside the XJL do not stop there. There is also a set of wipers that work automatically, bi-xenon headlamps that do the same, mirrors that fold and dim, a trunk lid that is powered, a sunroof and even keyless entry and ignition.
The features inside the Jaguar XJL Portfolio include such lavish things are climate control, a steering wheel that is heated and has tilting and telescoping and both heated and ventilated front seats. Those front seats also feature memory and multiple adjustment opportunities. The seats in the rear have head and there is extensive leather upholstery back there as well. When it comes to electronics there is far more in the Portfolio than one might expect. They include gauges that are LCD, a touchscreen interface and a nice navigation system. There are also voice controls in the cabin, Bluetooth for phone and audio and a nice stereo system. The sound system boasts CD, satellite radio, HD radio, digital storage and an interface for the iPod. There are also fourteen speakers in the cabin.
The standard Portfolio package is what sets this model apart from the XJ base. It features extended climate control, more adjustments to the front seat including massage, heat and ventilation in the rear seats, leather trim and a headliner made of faux suede. Because the Jaguar XJL Portfolio is in the L line, it also has the benefit of more legroom in the rear, vanity mirrors in the rear and side sunshades in the rear. Buyers can also add an Executive Package that upgrades those sunshades to powered, offers rear flip-down trays, adds wood trim on the steering wheel, enhances the mirrors with chrome covers and adds in special floor mats. There is also the option to add a rear entertainment system, heated windshield and adaptive cruise control.
