The Optima has 5 trim options. A consumer has the choice of the LX, EX, EX Turbo, SX, and Hybrid trim. The bare minimum trim features 16-inch wheels, power accessories, air conditioning, satellite radio, and USB input. The EX trim also has heated outside mirrors, fog lights, exterior chrome door handles, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The SX trim has a sports-tuned suspension, leather upholstery, and other features. The hybrid version of the Optima is essentially the base trim, however there is cloth upholstery. The LX and EX trim have a 200 horsepower, 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine.
The LX has a 6 speed manual transmission and the others have 6-speed automatic transmission. The EX turbo and the SX have a 274 horsepower, 269 lb torque 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine that is turbocharged. The LX also has dual exhaust with chrome tips, mirror turn signal indicators, and solar glass. Furthermore, the SX trim has LED rear lights, headlights with auto leveling, rear spoiler, aero wiper blades, and a unique front grille design. The SX trim also comes standard with wheel-mounted paddles shifters, sports-tuned suspension, supervision gauge cluster with a graphic information display, and a more sporty exterior appearance kit.
