The Kia Sedona minivan offers two trim levels for the 2012 version of the vehicle. The two trims are the LX and EX. The Standard LX features include air-conditioning, removable captain chairs in the second row with the option of having a fold-down table, 16-inch wheels, keyless entry, full power accessories, and parking sensor. The audio system contains six speakers with a CD/MP3 stereo containing satellite radio and a USB jack. The EX trim upgrades the 16-inch alloy wheels to 17-inch wheels. There are more convenient features like power-sliding doors, exterior chrome trim, rearview camera, foglamps, heated outside mirrors, leather-wrapped steering wheels, and a trip computer. There are also other packages that can be added to the EX model. The luxury package adds more features like leather upholstery, heated seats, sunroof, and power adjustable seats. The premium entertainment package offers a DVD entertainment system for the back seats along with an Infinity sound system that includes 10 speakers.

The Kia Sedona offers many features that appeal to families and make travel more convenient and comfortable for passengers. The large size of the model makes storage room adequate and enables enough legroom and headroom for long trips. The third-row seat although limiting in headroom, is large enough for children to comfortably sit and relax away from the drivers. The option to include an entertainment package with a DVD entertainment system will amuse families for long trips. In case the DVD entertainment system is not enough for the kids, then the 6 speaker, ipod capable, and satellite integrated radio system will keep them satisfied. Furthermore, the standard front and rear air conditioning, front reading lights, and a smooth, comfortable ride due to the Sedona's handling helps make the Sedona a must for families that travels frequently.

The Kia Sedona minivan offers the security that is required of a family vehicle. It has many features that should put worried parents concerns to rest. It has an advanced airbag system with six airbags placed throughout the cabin that will protect occupants. They include dual front advanced, dual front seat-mounted side, and full-length side curtain airbags. The Sedona also offers front and rear 3-point seat belts and front seat-belt pretensioners that tighten to reduce the likelihood of injury in a crash. Furthermore, the front active headrests move up and forward to reduce the likelihood of neck injury. Since the Sedona is a family vehicle, there are lower anchors and tethers for children so they can be strapped into car seats. Most notably, the Sedona earned the top "Good" rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in frontal-offset and side-impact tests.
