We bought a 2011 RX450h last year with the hope that we would realize the gas mileage claims made with respect to the vehicle. However, using the SUV for daily carpool runs and errands, we have never averaged better than 22 mpg. We are disappointed with the hybrid technology, it seldomly engages with even modest loads in the car. After all, we purchased and SUV to haul kids and sports equipment. The mileage claims are overstated by at least 30%. The hybrid technology is severely disappointing and will never return the nearly $7,000 premium over the gas model. I would not reccomend the hybrid RX450h to anyone.
