The goal of achieving performance through a low weight doesn't leave much room for features in the Lotus Elise CR, but there are a few, available both standard and as options. To keep its weight down while still providing options, the area typically reserved for the radio has been filled with enough 12v sockets to power an array of electronic devices. For those that don't mind adding a little more weight, the Comfort Pack is an available option.
The Comfort Pack provides the Lotus Elise CR with many of the features that would normally be considered standard for most vehicles. This includes a stereo system that is compatible with CDs and MP3 players. Floor mats featuring the CR logo are also provided, along with a light aluminum footrest. Sound insulation is also provided, along with mud flaps in the front. Some additional safety features are also provided, including standard suspension and adjustable anti-roll bar.
Another performance feature is also provided as an optional premium. The SPS (Serial Precision Shift) Option provides state-of-the-art features for the transmission. Using this technology, drivers are free to utilize the manual transmission for better performance and an automatic transmission mode for heavy traffic. The switch can be easily made using paddles provided on the steering wheel. It also includes a Sport button that enhances performance for both the manual and automatic modes. This option is exclusive to the Lotus Elise CR and 1.6.
