Pros At a starting price of just over $90,000 the Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid luxury sedan may seem a little expensive for a Hybrid car but when you consider all of the features that come as standard and the options available this luxury sedan is really not overpriced.

Pros The power combination the Mercedes-Benz engineers have produced makes the S400 Hybrid one of the most powerful Hybrid luxury sedans on the market.

Pros The Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid luxury sedan has exceptional safety features including auto collision detect that will make the car as indestructible as possible if it detects a collision is imminent overriding the door, window and sunroof controls.

Pros The Parking Guidance function is one of the best available for any car on the market as it leaves the parking in the drivers hands rather than automating it. The simple display shows the relative position of the S400 Hybrid versus other cars around it which proves to be a great aid.

Cons The Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid's biggest drawback is that it is a Hybrid only in that it uses an extra battery charged by the energy from braking to assist with fuel economy rather than the car actually being able to be powered by the battery alone.

Cons The feature that turns the engine off while the Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid luxury sedan is coasting or idling is a great innovation for fuel economy however the designers need to put more thought into it for parking as the engine is constantly turns on and off when trying to maneuver in small spaces.

Cons The brakes on the Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid luxury sedan can feel a little heavy due to the dual purpose of the brakes, that of stopping the car and also the charging function for the lithium ion battery.
