OK, enough whining about lack of space in Minis, Cooper Clubman Wagon already hit the stores so if you were waiting for a spatious Mini; here you go! The first thing we noted on the Cooper Clubman Wagon that we were about to review is the increased space with a blend of added features. This combination makes the Clubman an awesome car for casual rides or even a serious business trip. Though originally British, Cooper Clubman Wagon shares many traits that are purely German. The sporty handling and precise performance are two noted features that grabbed our attention during the review. These features essentially are of a German touch, thanks to parent company, BMW, for adding their 'Germanism' to the Cooper Clubman Wagon.

The moment we saw the Cooper Clubman Wagon that we were about to review, I somehow found it difficult to digest the 'Mini' badge. Ironically, the 'Mini' badge wasn't suiting the Clubman's design because it is, after all, a wagon of decent length and width. Even Minis have come a long way from its predecessors and today, they are not the smallest pups in the litter. With 234 pounds of extra mass than the regular Cooper, Cooper Clubman Wagon is not a slow mover for its size. The naturally aspirated 1.6 L engine is capable of putting on a great show when you want to. It reaches 60mph in 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 126 mph; not bad for a car of its size, isn't it? The automatic is not as fast as the manual but reviews suggest a top speed of 121 mph and 60mph in 10.2 seconds. Theoretically the weight of the car should affect its fuel efficiency but this isn't exactly the case with Cooper Clubman Wagon. Our review could get an overall fuel efficiency of 29 mpg for manual and once the tank is filled, Cooper Clubman Wagon can cover at least 450 miles!

Being a big car, Cooper Clubman Wagon offers two additional airbags to increase its safety, something that's necessary for its 13' body. Cooper Clubman Wagon can effortlessly accommodate 4 adults but leaves enormous space for cargo. It doesn't matter if you have an entire home to be carried with you, you can fold the rear seat and the whole space is yours! The 50:50 split seats comes handy when you have two passengers excluding you and their serious baggage. Though Cooper Clubman Wagon is designed for the space and economic conscious, the Sport Mode ensures that you can have your occasional (or regular??) fun on a single button press. Once the button is pressed and the system got the message, your Cooper Clubman Wagon just prepares itself for the action. Results? The engine is ready to provide better acceleration and tighter steering response. Now, this is another area where you have to appreciate the German engineering: Cooper Clubman Wagon can also adjust the gear shifts automatically to go quicker!
