There are two trims on the Nissan Altima Coupe, the 2.5 S and the 3.5SR. The 2.5S is the basic trim and comes with a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine matched with a six speed manual transmission. It also boasts a keyless entry and ignition system, air conditioning, cruise control and full power accessories. Buyers will find the tilt and telescoping steering wheel helpful and will take advantage of the trip computer and the 6 speaker sound system with CD. The 17 inch allow wheels look nice on the outside and add to the stylish design. There are a couple of packages that can be purchased that provide additional features on the 2.5S trim. The Value package adds in automatic headlights, Bluetooth, automatic dimming mirror, leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls. The Special Edition package adds automatic headlights, foglights, a spoiler and leather steering wheel. With the Premium Package buyers will get everything from the value package plus power driver's seat, sunroof, mirror mounted turn signal repeaters, dual zone climate control, rearview camera and a nine speaker Bose stereo system with satellite radio.
The 3.5SR trim of the Nissan Altima Coupe is slightly different than the 2.5 trim. For starters it features a 3.5 liter V6 engine matched with a six speed manual transmission. The 3.5SR also boasts 18 inch alloy wheels, sport tuned suspension, heated side mirrors, mirror mounted turn signal repeaters, sunroof, dual zone climate control. The Premium package adds everything from the 2.5S Premium package and then leather upholstery, heated from seats, automatic dimming rearview mirror. An addition of the technology package will give the buyer a hard drive based navigation system with real time traffic and weather.
Standard safety features on the Nissan Altima Coupe are antilock brakes, front seat side-impact airbags, traction and stability control and side curtain airbags. It may take a little combination of packages to get the features that are desired and it may result in features not necessarily wanted. However, with a starting base price of $23,600, it is possible to have a completely customize sports coupe at a much more reasonable cost than the average sports car. This gives buyers the practicality of a family sedan with the handling and performance that are expected of a sports coupe.
