2012 Nissan Pathfinder SUV Trims & Features

The Nissan Pathfinder SUV comes in four different trims. Buyers can choose from the S, SV, Silver and LE. There is a choice of two engines on the Pathfinder as well. The S, SV and Silver have the 4.0 liter 266 hp V6 engine and the LE has a 5.6 liter 310 hp V8 engine. All models come with a five speed automatic transmission. For the S, SV and Silver rear wheel drive is standard with an optional part time four wheel drive. The LE has an optional full time four wheel drive.

The S is the basic trim with the SV and Silver falling in midgrade and the LE being the top of the line. In addition to the motor, the S comes with 16 inch alloy wheels and a privacy glass in the rear. It also has rails on the roof rack, air conditioning and a manually adjustable driver's seat. Cruise control, tilt steering, power accessories and a six speaker stereo with CD also comes standard.

The SV trim of the Nissan Pathfinder SUV upgrades the wheels to 17 inch alloy and adds in such features as automatic headlights, foglights and running boards. There are also dual zone climate controls, rear air conditioning, upgraded interior and a power adjustable driver seat. Power adjustable pedals, leather wrapped steering wheel, 7 inch color multi-information display and rearview camera also come standard. The audio system is a six disc CD Changer and features a standard auxiliary jack.

The Silver trim of the Nissan Pathfinder SUV takes most of what is included in the S and SV trims and adds to them. With the Silver, buyers will get heated mirrors, body color chrome side molding and leather upholstery. A keyless entry and ignition system is added as well as a power passenger seat. The front seats are heated and the vehicle is Bluetooth capable as well. Those who opt for the LE with a V6 engine will upgrade to 18 inch alloy wheels while adding driver seat memory, heated steering wheel, roof rack cross bars, wood grain trim and a navigation system. Those who select the V8 will get the V8 engine and four wheel drive.

Safety is important and that is why the Nissan Pathfinder SUV comes with many of the same standard safety features as most other family SUVs. Antilock disc brakes are available on all trims as are front seat active head restraints. Both stability and traction controls are standard safety features as well. Each trim will also include front seat side airbags and full length side curtain airbags.
