More Used Peugeot Sedan Reviews /All Peugeot Cars

While Peugeot seem intent in capturing the motoring world's attention with some of their more radical designs, with the 3008 crossover compact being a particularly fine example, their interior trim still ekes of a combination of conservatism and comfort. As has become common practice with Peugeot over the last few years, the 3008 Crossover comes with a choice of five trim levels, with the standard level known as the Access providing some of the more basic driving aids. These include lowest level fabric upholstery with matching interior trim, electric parking brake, radio, CD player, MP3 playback, air conditioning, power operated front windows and seventeen inch metal wheels with energy saving tyres.

The next trim level on the list is the Active which comes with all of the above as well as a leather bound steering wheel, Peugeot's Connect USB feature , rear parking aid, cruise control with speed limitation facilities, a visibility pack containing automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers for the front window as well as seventeen alloy wheels with energy saving tyres. Following on the list of trim levels is the Allure that comes with a panoramic glass roof, Peugeot's Retrovision pack as standard, taking in exterior courtesy lighting, electro chrome interior mirror and electric folding mirrors, electric windows for the rear as well as eighteen inch alloy wheels with all season tyres. Top of the top is the Sportium trim which comes with all that the Allure has to offer as well as features such as satellite navigation, rear tinted windows and full hide trim.

All 3008 model Peugeots come with six airbags and electronic stability control as standard.

Fuel economy levels for the Peugeot 3008 are varied with the petrol engines failing to impress with averages of between 37 to 39 miles per gallon being reported. The diesel engined versions do a lot better with the two liter 148 horsepower returning an average of 60 miles per gallon, while the remaining two solely diesel powered versions return averages of more than fifty miles per gallon. Understandably the cream of the crop as far as fuel consumption is concerned for the Peugeot 3008 crossover compact has to be the Hybrid with an average of 74 miles per gallon being reported in most objective reviews.

The 2012 Peugeot 3008 has no lack of competitors in the compact crossover sector, with the most outstanding being Nissan Qashqai Crossover, Volvo XC60 Crossover, Nissan Qashqai, Volkswagen Golf Plus, Citroen C4 Picasso, Ford C-Max Nissan, Renault Koleos, Ford Kuga, VW Tiguan and the Skoda Yeti.
