The 2012 911 Carrera coupe comes with a variety of standard features that are sure to appease those looking for power and aesthetics. As far as power and speed are concerned, the 911 Carrera has those covered with a standard SPORT button added to tune the engine for sharper response and improved dynamics. The 3.4-liter boxer engine with direct fuel injection and VarioCam Plus (which produces 350 horsepower) is not only powerful, though; it's also efficient. Fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions have been reduced up to 16 percent vs. last year's model. For the transmission, the Carrera coupe features a 7-speed manual PDK transmission that is also sporty and efficient. An enhanced Sport Chrono Package further enhances this piece of machinery's performance.

Inside, the Carrera coupe boasts such standard features as Porsche Communication Management, Cd/DVD and Mp3 playback (with optional six-disc changer), a sport steering wheel and sport seats, and "Entry and Drive" function, a Bose Surround Sound audio system or a Burmester High-End Surround Sound audio system, Bluetooth, climate control, and an optional slide/tilt sunroof.

This year's 911 Carrera is available in several different model types: including the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS (with a starting MSRP of $112,000), the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS (with a starting MSRP of $103,100), the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera Black Edition (with a starting MSRP of $81,300), the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 (with a starting MSRP of $85,400), the standard 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe 9with a starting price of $79,000), the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S (with a starting price of $91,900), and the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S (with a starting price of $98,300). There's also a mid-year redesign of the Carrera S (with a starting price of $96,400) and a Cabriolet (convertible) variant of several of the 911 Carrera models.
