Pros The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet convertible is powerful. It contains a 3.8-liter flat six engine that creates 400 horsepower and a choice of either a Porsche 7-speed PDK transmission or the 7-speed manual transmission.

Pros One of the new Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet's greatest features is its new roof, which opens and closes in only eleven seconds. This convertible roof is made of fabric-covered composite panels that are attached to a lightweight magnesium frame. An actual glass window is attached to this apparatus, making for a unique and technologically-sound component.

Pros This convertible is also fast. It gets from zero-to-sixty in less than five seconds (4.4 to be exact) and has a top speed around 187 mph.

Pros If you don't particularly care for this Porsche 911 Cabriolet model, there are several more from which to choose, but, after review, we can say that the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet convertible is one of the best of these due to its excellent price point, stylish interior and exterior, and sporty attitude. If you're looking for a little more power than the standard Carrera Cabriolet, you've found it.

Pros The Carrera S Cabriolet features amazing driving dynamics. It has a fantastic-sounding engine, excellent performance. It's only a bit less impressive in the performance department than the 911 Carrera coupe despite being a convertible. New wind-control technology assures that the drivers hears and experiences as little wind resistance as possible-with or without the top down.

Cons If you're looking for the sportiest 911 Carrera with the best driving dynamics, you should stick with the coupe version. Like most convertibles, this Cabriolet slightly compromises on driving dynamics, though the S variant certainly makes up for this somewhat with its increased power.

Cons Options and packages can rapidly increase the price of the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet S Convertible to nearly twice its original MSRP.
