Pros The 2012 Porsche Cayman coupe comes with excellent handling and steering capabilities. The six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel-drive really make for a fantastic driving experience. Body roll is almost nonexistent, and the variable-ratio steering is nearly unbeatable.

Pros Standard features, such as speed sensitive volume control, power and heated mirrors, leather sport seats, performance wipers, cruise control, and a universal remote transmitter are plentiful.

Pros Optional features are also exceptional, though pricey. These include: a Convenience package, an Infotainment package (with or without a Bose audio upgrade), and a Design and Design Sport package. These packages include such features as a navigation system, a 7-speaker audio system, aerodynamic kits, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, and bigger wheels and tires. A Sport Chrono package is also available. This package adds PDK, launch control, adjustable driver settings, and a lap timer. There are also several other unique customizations for the interior, exterior, and, well, basically any surface of the vehicle the driver would like to modify.

Pros The sleek Cayman comes with an excellent amount of power that centers around a 2.9-liter six-cylinder engine and 6-speed manual transmission that produces 265 horsepower and 221 lb.-ft. of torque. A 7-speed manual dutch-cluth transmission is also available.

Pros The base Cayman is fast: It gets from 0-60 mph in about 5.5 seconds.

Pros This coupe is also fairly fuel efficient. It achieves 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway (22 mpg combined) for the manual transmission and a more fuel-efficient 20 city/29 highway/24 combined mpg with the PDK transmission.

Cons The 2012 Porsche Cayman coupe's cabin leaves us desiring more. It's cramped, awkwardly shaped, and offers barely any room for storage. The gauges also seem more decorative than functional, and leg room is a little tighter than competing coupes and two-seaters, as well.

Cons Options are very pricey, although they are readily available. Adding several options/packages could double the price of the vehicle.

Cons Rear visibility could be much better in this coupe.

Cons The interior quality could be improved on the luxury Cayman coupe.
