One of the most spacious family vehicles on the market, the Renault Espace Minivan provides features that provide comfort while driving and can be really convenient for individuals that have the money to spare and the family to tote around, but it is not without its faults. Minivans are not as common on the French market as they are in the United States so whether buying or renting, the Espace is a little pricier than other family vehicles. There are benefits, however, for those willing or able to spend the extra money. The overall styling of the exterior of the Espace provides the initial appeal to buyers with attractive lines and sheer elegance. Although the design does not change much between one model and the next, the overall look is pleasing and attractive to all kinds of parents. The ride itself is pleasing because of the overall feel. It eliminates most of the bumps in the road without any problems with pretty decent handling considering the size. Corners should not be taken at higher speeds, however, because there is not enough stability underneath to keep the Espace one with the road.

The interior provides the greatest benefits. It has plenty of standard features, which are a good thing considering the fact that optional features add quite a bit to the final cost. There is plenty of room for a family of five and all their luggage, and there should be no complaints about comfort during day to day errands. Long trips may be a little different because the rear seats do not seem to have a whole lot of leg room. It is also a little inconvenient if more cargo space is needed because the seats have to be physically removed in order to make more space. The front cabin does provide an open and funky vibe even if the controls are not placed for practical use. Unlike minivans typically seen around town, this one does not come with sliding doors but accessibility is still easy and the inside is quite comfortable, even for the driver. Safety is given much consideration with airbags, great braking ability and plenty of crash testing to ensure that passengers are not going to be at serious risk in the event of an accident. The overall quality of the interior is great and families are sure to enjoy their time in the Renault Espace Minivan even if it is obviously not a sport car.
