The Renault Megane has been around for more than seventeen years, with the fist sedan models introduced to replace the Renault 19, whilst initially carrying over. many of the 19's core features, Throughout its long history, the Megane has always had a bit of a controversial reputation, marked by it classic lack of reliability, excessive cost of replacement parts and repairs and its ability to plummet in value without warning. On the upside, the secret of the Megane's survival has always been the fact that it is the least expensive family saloon or hatchback to come out or France, its low cost and its always efficient fuel economy for a car of its size.

The Megane Hatchback is a stylish family vehicle that can be purchased at a reasonable cost. The price varies greatly from vehicle to vehicle because when purchasing your vehicle you can include or remove various features. Unlike other Renault vehicles there is a multitude of additional add-ons and features you can include with your hatchback during the selection process. Of course with the more add-ons you include the more your vehicle will cost but for most people these add-ons will be well worth the increased cost.

The Megane is a very nice looking vehicle but with all vehicles there are aspects to the look of the vehicle that some people like and dislike. Renault has exchanged the previous Megane's back end for a more stylish one that reminds people more of crossover type vehicle's back ends. Considering how popular crossover vehicles are becoming this was a good decision for Renault which will make the vehicle much more popular with the average driver. While the different styling of the back end may have been a hit people are disappointed when it comes to the front end. Previous models of the Megane had a front end that really looked good. This design has changed somewhat but it is still a great looking vehicle.

The interior of the Megane Hatchback is quite nice and well laid out. The angling of the dashboard and the light colors used in the interior make the vehicle feel comfortable and spacious. Many of the instruments are well laid out and are easily within the drivers reach. The consumer is also provided with an option to have a digital speedometer which might have the largest screen size available on the market today. Although the Megane looks spacious and comfortable this may not be the case as the backseats can be quite crowded and there isn't a lot of headroom.
