Suzuki is a company that has been around since 1909 and has become synonymous with a select type of vehicle. Though the company has dove into a variety of manufacturing options, beginning with its weaving loom roots, there are just some things that people associate with Suzuki. Among them are motorcycles, automobiles and 4X4 vehicles. The company's jump into motor vehicles began in 1952 with motorcycles and has continued far beyond that to include automobiles, tricks, ATVs and more. Most notably, there are the Suzuki sedan and 4X4 models. Many of those sedans that began decades ago are still being manufactured today under the Suzuki name.
When founder Michio Suzuki first created the company he planned to make weaving looms. His business became quite successful, but he wanted to dive into the world of automobiles. The start of World War II put his plans on hold as he focused on his loom business. When the market crashed in 1951 he knew it was time to find something else and that led him to motorcycles. Though motorcycles are still an integral part of the Suzuki name, over the years the Suzuki sedan has become just as well known.

This supermini sedan was unveiled to consumers in 1983 and has seen three generations so far. Though the name Cultus might not be familiar, the other names that the car is included under might ring a bell. Among the twelve different names for the Cultus are the Suzuki Swift and the Geo Metro. The Cultus Crescent was a compact version that was on the market from 1995 to 2002 and could also be found under the name Suzuki Esteem
The Kizashi is a mid-size four door Suzuki sedan that was offered on the market in 2009. This car features a variety of engine options and can be had with five or six speed manual, four speed automatic or six speed continuously variable transmission.
There have been a number of Suzuki sedan models offered through the years, though some of them were marketed under different names. Suzuki has become well known for their sedans and the options that come with them. Most have been manufactured in several countries and sold worldwide. Over fifty years since the creation of the first motorcycle, Suzuki is still considered a strong contender in the market with the company being the fourth largest manufacturer of automobiles in Japan and the ninth largest in the world.
