The 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX Premium 4-Door comes equipped with performance-design front seats and a leather-wrapped shifter handle and steering wheel. Cloth upholstery comes standard in this vehicle, unfortunately. We had hoped for some leather since it's a Premium edition. Lighter weight and lower power have improved fuel economy in the 2012 WRX compared to last year's model, and even with AWD, the WRX can reach fuel efficiency figures of about 25 mpg on the highway. The 2012 WRX comes in several trims: the standard WRX trim, the WRX Premium trim, the WRX Limited trim, the WRX STI trim, and the WRX STI Limited trim. MSR starts at $25,595 for the standard WRX and $28,095. The most fully-equipped model, the WRX STI Limited, starts at $37,445. The WRX Premium 4-Door includes several attractive active and passive features including the traditional AWD, a Traction Control System, Vehicle Dynamics Control, a Subaru BOXER engine, Brake Assist, a Subaru-specific advanced front airbag system (as well as several other airbags dispersed throughout the cabin), ABS, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. In review, the 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX Premium 4-Door is a budget-friendly reliable vehicle with just the right amount of power.

Curious about the gadgets included in the WRX? The vehicle does have some nice options like satellite radio and a voice-activated GPS system, and basic standard equipment like a 6-speaker audio system and a USB port. We can tell you that a voice-activated GPS navigation system is optional, as are XM and SIRIUS satellite radio. We have to say, the technology offerings aren't the best we've seen-especially for such a sporty vehicle as the WRX. Then again, the 201 WRX Premium is built for those who only want a few additional options: for the most options, one has to go to the STI Limited trim version.
