The Subaru Legacy 2.5i Sedan comes in a total of seven different trim levels. When we narrow these down strictly to the 2.5i engine size we have the base model 2.5i, the Premium version, Limited edition, and the GT Limited edition. While all of these trims look virtually the same on the outside, it's the inside that differentiates each one based on review. When discussing the Subaru Legacy 2.5i Sedan, you'll be pleasantly surprised at all the features that come included with the base version upon review.

All 2012 Subaru Legacy models come with the standard all-wheel drive. Utilizing the 2.5-liter boxer 4-cylinder engine, the Subaru Legacy 2.5i boasts an impressive 170 horsepower in total. A six-speed manual transmission comes standard with this version of the vehicle, but you can always upgrade to the CVT automatic transmission if you'd prefer for a little extra. If you're living in a state with high emission standards, such as California, the PZEV certification comes with the CVT transmission which is a bonus. You'll find the gas mileage review for the standard 6-speed coming in at an unimpressive 19 for the city, and 27 highway. This number changes to 23/31 f you choose to upgrade to the CVT automatic though.

Every Subaru Legacy 2.5i Sedan comes with automatic headlights, 16-inch steel wheels, cruise control, a/c, full power accessories, tilt and telescoping capable steering wheel, and a 60/40-split folding rear seat. The stereo has been upgraded for 2012, and comes standard with a 4-speakers and a CD player. An auxiliary audio hack, and steering wheel controls for the audio also come included. Some options for the base Subaru Legacy 2.5i Sedan include the Alloy Wheel package, and the All Weather package which adds de-icing capabilities for the side mirrors, and heated front seats to keep you warm. Bluetooth can also be accessed through a port-installed system that fails to deliver with it's tiny speakers, and unreliable performance.

In terms of our performance review, the 2012 Subaru Legay 2.5i Sedan performs well. Rated very highly in the safety category, you can thank the all-wheel drive, traction control, anti-lock disc brakes, front side airbags, and side curtain air bags for this fact. No matter what type of weather situation you're driving in, you'll feel safe driving along in your Subaru Legacy 2.5i Sedan.
