Cadillac SUV Reviews

Luxury brand Cadillac (headed by General Motors) is one of the premier providers of vehicles in the United States and on a global level, and it is considered the second oldest American marque. Though Cadillac is primarily known for its full-sized luxury sedans, the Cadillac Escalade has been a huge hit since its debut in 1999, and continues to be one of America's favorite luxury SUVs to this day. In fact, for the 2012 year, the Cadillac SUV line-up includes the Cadillac Escalade in several different forms, as well as the Cadillac SRX- a crossover SUV.>The 2012 Cadillac Escalade comes in several variants this year: the standard Escalade, the Escalade Hybrid, the Escalade ESV and the Escalade EXT, which is actually a sport-utility truck model instead of the traditional SUV.

The standard 2012 Escalade has an MSRP of $63,170 a powerful 403 horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine, 14-way adjustable power seats, and an optional suspension system, Magnetic Ride Control. It competes with such vehicles as the 2012 Lincoln Navigator, Range Rover Sport, Lexus LS, and the Toyota Land Cruiser. The Escalade is known for its luscious interior, powerful personality, and abundant technology features- such as a 10-speaker Bose audio system. It's available in AWD and seats up to eight adults.

The second member of the Escalade SUV family is the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid. The hybrid model has a starting MSRP of $73,850 and reaches up to $87,090 with added options. Emissions have been reduced through this vehicle, and fuel efficiency has been greatly improved with 20 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. No longer do drivers have to compromise fuel economy with a grand, luxurious vehicle. They can have their comfort, and save a few bucks, too. The hybrid model was first available in the 2009 model year.

The 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV has a price range of $65,770 - $85,375 and comes with several added features, including astounding amounts of cabin and cargo space. The ESV Platinum model adds such features as heated and cooled cup-holders, jewel-like LED headlights, burled Walnut wood Genuine Olive Ash trim, and an entertainment system comprised of three LCD screens. The ESV SUV is truly a sight to behold.

The 2012 Cadillac SRX is a crossover SUV with a ton of character. A tight Lexus RX competitor, the SRX gets some serious updates for the 2012 year, including a ramped-up powertrain that now includes a direct- injection 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 308 horsepower- a huge improvement over previous SRX models. The SRX comes in a variety of trims, including the Base, Luxury Collection, Performance Collection, and the Premium Collection, and has a price range of $35,485 - $54,525. In addition to the Lexus RX, this Cadillac crossover SUV also competes against such vehicles as the Dodge Journey and the Jeep Grand Cherokee. It achieves 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway and combines luxury and sportiness in a unique and powerful package. While doing this, it sticks with the distinct Cadillac "look."
