A lot of thought and planning have obviously gone into making the Suzuki SX4 Sport's interior visually pleasing as well as functional , Planning which largely succeeds, although the trim might be described as sparse, especially when compared to the other versions of the SX4.
The Suzuki SX4 Sport comes in two sub varieties - Base and Tech Value. Standard features running through both varieties include roof rails as well as continuously variable transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters. The Tech Value Package comes with a few more options such as fog lamps, and a GPS navigation system.
Coming as standard in the SX4 Sport's sub varieties is Suzuki's innovative i-AWD all-wheel drive system is easy to transfer from mode to mode, thanks to a simple switch mounted on the consol, the i-AWD runs in three basic modes. Most of the time the SX4 Sports will be driven in two wheel drive, on dry, even dry roads, where the Suzuki SX4 Sport justifiably earns top reviews for providing maximum fuel economy and a very smooth ride. When the situation arises, the SX4 Sport can be rapidly switched into All Wheel Drive (AWD) with the distribution ratio to the rear wheels making for increased traction. The third and final option, AWD Lock mode, is designed to aid traction in treacherous road conditions, either off road or when there is ice, mud and snow on the roads. If the Sport SX4 reaches and passes a speed of 36 miles per hour when in AWD Lock mode, the system will automatically switch back to AWD Auto mode. For normal driving conditions electronic stability control with traction control comes as a standard for the Suzuki SX4 Sport.
The Suzuki SX4 Sport fits very well into its niche as a compact and highly versatile SUV hatchback, equally comfortable in the city and on the highway, as well as on some fairly testing conditions. Reviews consistently show the SX4 Sport leading the way for value as a lightweight vehicle, providing pretty spectacular cargo carrying abilities in relation to its compact size, virtually in a class of its own as far as performance, comfort and fuel economy while providing a sporty performance when called upon.
In such a well designed and produced vehicle in a relatively tight category, it is quite difficult to find too many glaring downsides or upsides to the Suzuki SX4 Sedan, scoring points over each of its rivals in one way or the other. As part of a general pattern the SX4 Sedan offers very good value in terms of price/finish ratio while falling behind slightly because of reduced space for back seat passengers and less than encouraging fuel consumption.
