Citroen Van Review

French auto manufacturer Citroen has been known for its commercial vans since it started a "quiet revolution" for the commercial vehicle class of vehicles with the 1939 "Tub." It had a long run (from '48-1981), but was finally replaced by the Citroen C35. More recently,... (full review continues below)

Citroen Van Reviews

French auto manufacturer Citroen has been known for its commercial vans since it started a "quiet revolution" for the commercial vehicle class of vehicles with the 1939 "Tub." The "Tub" was a full-size van with a one-piece body and FWD, and it is the grandfather of lighter commercial vehicles. The Type H van was also very popular when it premiered after the War in 1948. It had a long run (from '48-1981), but was finally replaced by the Citroen C35. More recently, the Dispatch (Jumpy) and Relay (Jumper) vans have been a popular party of Citroen's lineup. As far as small vans go, they're a part of the brand's long history of light commercial vehicles. The 2CV van is probably the most popular, as it ran from 1951-78. More recently, the Berlingo and Nemo vans took the stage. For the 2012 year, Citroen is offering five van models: the smaller Nemo, Berlingo, and Berlingo First, and the full-size Relay and Dispatch.

The Citroen Nemo van is a compact van with great comfort and safety features, along with a roomy cabin. The Nemo has an amazing twelve cargo compartments, a car-like ride quality, a versatile cabin, and an efficient and clean engine (of which there is a choice of two: a 75 bph 1.4i petrol and a 1.3 HDi 75 horsepower Stop and Start diesel). The Nemo is listed as a LCV (light commercial vehicle), and there is also an MPV varirant, the Nemo Multispace. The Nemo has an MRB of only £ 9,265.

The 2012 Citroen Berlingo has a starting price from £ 11,845 for the Panel Van, £14,415 for the Crew Van, and £ 12,575 for the Platform Cab. The Berlingo has been produced since 1996 and is usually seen in Panel Van form. The Berlingo van is known for its dynamic styling, affordable price, and excellent cargo capacity. It's available with three engines and several impressive technology features. The 2012 Berlingo first is also known for its stylish looks, strength, and car-like ride quality. This van has a starting price of £ 11,535 and comes with fantastic features, such as variable power-assisted steering.

The full-size Citroen Relay Euro 4 is a great vehicle partner in any business venture. It offers several different, versatile combinations to allow maximum payload and volume. It also includes features rarely seen on the van market, including an Electronic Stability Program and a rear parking camera. Starting price depends on the many engine, power, and payload choices the driver chooses, but ranges from £19,190 to £24,480. The Relay is available in Panel Van and Enterprise models.

Finally comes the Citroen Dispatch Euro 5. The Dispatch also offers a range of choices from which the driver can choose, such as a large range of engines, but all of its models include a massive, comfortable cabins, excellent safety features, a durable design, and hefty payload power. The Dispatch has a starting price between £ 16,370 and £ 21,120 depending on trim, power, and options, and is available in Panel Van, Enterprise, and Crew Van styles.
