The 2012 Volkswagen CC Sedan is an attractive alternative to many other mid-size sedans currently available. It features a sleek new styling with its body shape review, and the interior resembles luxury styling seen only in higher end vehicles. The CC portion in the name stands for comfort coupe, and for the most part succeeds in this regard, although it is fairly small considering it's supposed to be mid-size. Only able to seat four, the backseats are cramped for head room, and in some ways resembles more of a coupe styled vehicle based on review. With these small drawbacks aside, there is still a lot to like about the Volkswagen CC Sedan in 2012.
Only updating the interior of the CC from 2011, VW has included nice wood accents on the upper trims, and an analog clock for the dash. Every trim model in the CC line offers high quality workmanship, and luxuries commonly only associated with premium car brands. The seats are covered with a vinyl/leather surface, which is obviously not real leather in appearance, but feels better then most real leather seats regardless according to buyer reviews. Other materials being used throughout the interior are soft to the touch, and textured well to produce the luxury look and feel.
When it comes to seating, the Volkswagen CC Sedan accommodates well for the most part. The seats come with many adjustments to accommodate any size person, yet the height issue can become problematic if your taller then most. Still, the leg room provided is sufficient. In the back, instead of trying to fit an extra seat in the middle, VW decided to replace that spot with a covered bin for drinks, or an armrest. While the extra amenities are nice, the loss of the extra seat may not appeal to families in search of more room. A smaller trunk review, measuring in at 13 feet in cubic space, is smaller then most for the mid-size market.
When it comes to the engine, the Volkswagen CC Sedan comes standard with the turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylnder engine. Other trims offer the even more powerful v6 engine if you prefer some extra muscle behind your ride. Referring back to the four cylinder engine, it is one best standard included engines available in the mid-size category today. The great fuel economy, and excellent acceleration from the starting line, combine to make this engine a great choice overall.
Even though the Volkswagen CC Sedan review has its drawbacks, such as the limited space and only four seat capacity, the good ultimately outweighs the bad. With superior body styling, an excellent turbocharged base engine, and an interior that borders on luxury status, the 2012 Volkswagen CC Sedan is a solid choice in a buyers market.
